If you don’t use the gift, if you don’t apply the gift, if you don’t practice the gift, nothing will happen! Nothing will change!
What an honor, a pleasure and a privilege to say to the world: I’m applying my gift of literacy! Join me in my Million-Dollar Fundraiser for Literacy.
This fundraiser is personal. I must show the world that literacy volunteers are successful and they enhance the lives of their fellow man.
I’m the luckiest man in the world because I have received the gift of literacy. My greatest reward is gratitude. I’m grateful for living in the present and to be able to apply knowledge and wisdom to my chosen journey. I’m proud to say, “I am an advocate for literacy!”
I went to ReadWest Literacy Center to improve my literacy skills. I never dreamed I would write a book and through writing my book I would release the negativity that imprisoned me. It was only through reading my book that I understood why I did what I did. Without literacy I would not have this life changing opportunity. It’s through reading that I am free to live my life in peace and harmony with my fellow man and myself.
Today, I’m a published author, an entrepreneur, a literacy advocate, a public speaker and a volunteer for ReadWest. I give presentation for United Way of Central New Mexico and workshops and presentations for the New Mexico Coalition for Literacy.
Today my mission is quite clear: to promote literacy and to recognize and thank those who have made literacy organizations possible.
I visualize the adult literacy students of the world receiving and benefiting from the gift of literacy. Together we share the joy that literacy volunteers give to their fellow man.
